The bathroom was a pleasant surprise with a refreshing shower. It made me feel like I was standing under a tropical waterfall, washing all my worries away. As someone who loves nature, this bathroom was a little piece of paradise.

Personally, I found the bathroom a bit cramped, but some may still enjoy its cozy charm.

The value for money at Carlton Cottage was excellent, and the room was cozy and beautifully decorated. The location was perfect for exploring the coast and surrounding areas, and the staff were friendly and accommodating.

The breakfast menu could have been improved with a wider selection of options.

Spotlessly clean, nicely decorated with stunning views from the garden. We stayed for 3 nights but would happily have stayed longer. Great location for exploring the moors and beyond. Lovely touches for both humans and pets, including throws and bowls. Opposite the Co-op and a pub just a few doors down. Thank you for a wonderful holiday!

    Would recommend this hotel.

The cottage itself was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and had a stunning view from the garden. We were able to enjoy the charming village and explore the surrounding moors. The little touches, like the provided toiletries and bottle of fizz, added to the overall experience. We couldn't have asked for a better family holiday!

For families, it would be great to have a larger pan for cooking.

Garden with a barbecue: We had a great time grilling and chilling in the garden, surrounded by the lush greenery. It felt like our own private oasis, where we could sizzle up our dinner and enjoy the fresh countryside air.

The cottage was lovely with plenty of space, perfect for four people and 1 dog. Nice and cosy with lots to do in the village. Castleton is a great location, with a small supermarket, a great pub that serves food, and a lovely cafe. The Deli 21 near the cottage was a highlight, offering delicious packed lunches for our walks. Plenty of walking routes available from the cottage. Excellent location for exploring all parts of North Yorkshire. The cottage was well-appointed, with a very cosy lounge and comfortable bedrooms. We slept well during our stay. The village pub and a local Co-op were conveniently located just a short walk away. Parking was easy to find close to the cottage. We would happily return and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Felt like a fairy-tale experience, where nothing was too much trouble.
